Stitched up!

Okay, the time has come.... Can not make afghan squares indefinitely so last night I googled how to stitch these squares together.  There are some odd bods on You Tube that belong to the crochet fraternity but I did find one eventually that seemed to click with me.
Assignments all handed in on Friday, so finally felt the freedom to spend some guilt free time on the crochet.

Have had a very good weekend crocheting it together.  The final photo of this post is showing it at not even halfway there but I love it already.

Starting to sew the squares together  .... exciting

Another Recruit!!!

Another 'craft night' at a friends house...and another one wanting to give crochet a whirl!

Jayne picked it up in ridiculously quick time.  Can't put it down to my teaching methods, I just think that some people are better than others (me!) at picking up new craft techniques.

Jayne starting off her crochet square using one of mine as a guide.

Everyone had their wee projects on the go.

A bit less in the way of liquid refreshments as it was a mid-week night, I had an 8am lecture the next morning and everyone else had work or kids to get off to school.  Was a very sensible sedate evening!

Jayne with her finished product on her knee.  I was so impressed!!

My latest design...has a nice wee star/flower in the centre.  A bit different from your standard Afghan square.
