Kylie's Crazy Crochet Coat

My old friend Kylie, who I only catch up with once in a blue moon, went along to a school occasion this evening, knowing full well that we would have one of our rare 'catch-ups'.
Bless her, she wore her crochet cardigan!  Her daughters were not overly impressed but Kylie was not to be deterred.  She did draw the line at wearing her crochet trousers too.

For Kylie's 40th last year she requested that everyone follow the theme (to some extent) or wearing some crochet.  I have seen the fantastic photos from that evening and there were some fairly wonderous sights!!

A friend gifted her this fab cardi after they had finished with it the night of the party.  Needless to say, she was delighted!!
I'm so glad she wore it tonight  :)

What it's all about...

As I was hunting out something tonight for another assignment I came across a great wee blog about music therapy.  As I read on, very bizarrely, the blog was made by a 3rd year OT student in Dunedin here last year!  He had attached  a clip of 'The Zimmers' (the UK version of the Young at Heart choir)

This clip kind of sums it up.  Even though it is music as opposed to craft or art, the premise is the same.  At the end of the day, this is what my blog has been all about.

Finding a passion
Connecting with people
Finding yourself
Adding to, or shaping your Occupational Identity
Participation and Satisfaction

(If you watch the video you will see what I mean)
