Inspiration ... all the way from France!

Well, had a rotten Thursday evening last week trying to make granny/afghan squares.  It was fairly disastrous.  I have kept the awful munted little versions so I can post a photo soon, of the comparison between those and ones that actually work!

But my mother has (very kindly) been on the lookout for inspiration (!) for me while she is travelling around Europe. 
These flower boxes were spotted by her in France.  She had better watch out, I may yarn bomb her house before she gets back... have a few months to perfect my technique!
